Spart and Hen cuddled

(no subject)

I think I may have cracked my ribs when I fell at Bill's 2(?) weeks ago. The other bruises are basically gone, but my ribs are still effin painful. I didn't think I'd cracked them because they barely bruised at all and I thought broken bones always bruised horribly. But maybe a minor crack doesn't?

I'd call Maren and ask, but I don't want to guilt her since it was her house I was working on.

Spart and Hen cuddled

Milly is now wearing the Leash of Shame (tm). She got out again this morning when the guy from Vietnam Vets knocked on the door for the donation we completely forgot about during last night's adventure. Kindra and I and two neighbors managed to corner and catch her. Brought her home and put a leash on her so she'll be easier to catch next time.

Spart and Hen cuddled

Lost dog found.

Katie and Milly are staying with us right now. We took Katie with us to the Barker's 3rd Sunday party. When we got home we were short a dog. Apparently Spart encouraged Mil to escape from the yard. The neighbors recognized Spart and brought him home. Milly, on the other hand...

So we spent about 2 hours looking for her; as it got darker and darker. Neighbor at the end of the street stopped by and told us she had seen Milly on Rosewood about 5 minutes before.

Katie and I were on foot, so we hoofed it to Rosewood. We were nearly at the bottom of Rosewood when John called to tell us he had just seen her and accidentally chased her behind some houses.

Katie and I took the car from John and drove at a fast walking pace about the area looking for her. John got clever and planted himself at the street corner and watched for her again.

Cell phones are a boon to mankind. When he saw her again he called us and we headed down Lastner towards Rosewood. And there she was headed up the street. Of course, we found her just as another car was coming up the street and she decided to wander leisurely across the street to Katie. We avoided getting a flattened dog and picked up John and brought everyone home.

We are all basically worn out now, but Milly is home safe.
